Amsterdam Data Centre


Global Switch Amsterdam is located in the Slotevaart/Overtoomseveld district, adjacent to the main Dutch cable infrastructure. This world-class data centre is just 2km from the financial district and city centre.

Connectivity

Our carrier and cloud neutral status has created a network dense environment with around 100 carriers, cloud and other network service providers. Our thriving ecosystem, proximity to the Central Business District and the main Dutch cable infrastructure as well as the presence of AMS-IX and NL-ix make the facility a natural choice for any company or organisation seeking reliable, high speed connectivity inside the Netherlands and around the globe.

Infrastructure

Directly connected to the national grid and offering 2,000 W/m2 as standard, with higher densities fully supported, the data centre is the city’s only provider with a dedicated mains power supply of 60MVA (current and planned) at 50kV. The extension to the campus will lead the way in environmentally sustainable design, targeting a PUE of 1.2 and a BREEAM Excellent rating using 100% green energy and implementing the latest technologies such as air-side free cooling and hot aisle/cold-aisle configurations.
